Recreational

Leagues
Held in the spring and fall, competition occurs on the five-stand sporting clays field. About 25 people have participated in the past. The number is expected to grow as interest in the shooting sports continues to develop in the Hillsdale area.

Competition
The Halter Center hosts a number of competitive events sanctioned by national governing bodies such as:
- Amateur Trap Association (ATA)
- National Skeet Shooting Association (NSSA)
- National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA)
- USA Shooting
- USA Archery
These events attract talent from across the state and region because their results qualify shooters for national competitions.

Open Shoots
Each April the range holds an open shoot for the public. This non-competitive event is a way for people to test their skills on the clay target fields.

Memberships
The Halter Center currently offers shooting clays memberships and plans to offer others in the future. Please contact the shooting sports program coordinator for more information.
