Nationally Sanctioned Competitions

The Halter Center regularly hosts events throughout the year that conform to the rules of national governing bodies, such as:

  • Amateur Trap Association (ATA)
  • National Skeet Shooting Association (NSSA)
  • National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA)
  • USA Shooting
  • USA Archery

Shooters participate in singles, doubles, and handicap disciplines. Scores go toward qualifying for regional and national competitions.

Junior Olympic State Championship

Held in May, winners advance to the national championship. Since the Halter Center features the only Olympic bunker in Michigan, many participants come to the range to train.
